Design Process

INQUIRY

Before meeting in person, we begin with a complimentary phone call to learn more about your space, goals, and lifestyle. Afterward, you’ll receive a Design Questionnaire via email to help us better understand your style, preferences, and project needs. This thoughtful preparation allows us to make the most of your in-person or virtual paid consultation, ensuring our time together is focused, efficient, and tailored to you.

The initial consultation typically lasts about an hour; larger projects or multiple rooms may require more time. During this meeting, we’ll get to know each other, tour the space, and discuss your vision and style preferences. We’ll also walk through the best path forward for your project.

ONBOARDING

Following your consultation, we’ll send a detailed scope of work for your review, finalize the design agreement, and collect the initial deposit. Once everything is in place, we’ll schedule your first design meeting and officially begin your project — the exciting part begins!

FULFILLMENT

After the agreement is signed, Bonae Interiors gets to work behind the scenes. We return to the studio to begin developing the initial layout and sourcing materials and finishes that align with your vision.

Once the preliminary design plan is complete, we’ll meet to review the floor plan, along with curated fabric swatches, flooring samples, and paint colors that reflect the overall style and direction of your space. From there, we guide you through a series of design meetings to walk through the full process — from inspiration to implementation — ensuring every selection and decision reflects your goals and lifestyle.

Design-only projects typically span three to six months, depending on the scope and complexity. Throughout the process, we coordinate with trusted contractors and preferred vendors to ensure a seamless experience. Once your design is finalized and approved, we provide a detailed hand-off to your project team and remain available to support implementation as needed.

OFFBOARDING

After installation is complete, we schedule a final walkthrough to ensure every detail aligns with the approved design plan. This is also when we capture professional photography of the finished space — a special moment to celebrate the transformation and all the work that went into it.

To officially close the project, we’ll send a Closing Questionnaire to gather your feedback and ensure we’re continuing to grow and enhance our client experience.

The end result? A space that feels just right — and ready to be enjoyed.
