INTERIOR TECH SCHOOL RENOVATION | EDUCATIONAL & HOSPITALITY DESIGN

This interior renovation focused on creating a welcoming, functional environment within a technical school’s culinary and hospitality program—one that supports both student learning and public interaction. Working closely alongside the general contractor, our role centered on guiding the overall color story, material selections, and product specifications to ensure a cohesive and durable design across the main dining space, bathrooms, and lecture areas. A soft, neutral palette was intentionally selected to feel inclusive, timeless, and approachable for all users. These tones provide a calm backdrop that allows the energy of the students and the activity of the space to take center stage, while also creating a professional atmosphere suitable for visitors experiencing the fully operational restaurant. In the main dining area, materials were chosen for both aesthetics and performance—balancing warmth and durability in a high-traffic environment. The result is a space that feels inviting for guests while remaining practical for daily student use. The lecture areas were designed to support focus and engagement, with finishes that feel cohesive with the dining space yet tailored to learning and instruction. The bathrooms were thoughtfully designed to align with the overall palette, reinforcing consistency throughout the facility while prioritizing ease of maintenance and longevity. Every selection was made with long-term use in mind, ensuring the space will continue to serve students and staff for years to come. This project is a reflection of how intentional material and color coordination can elevate educational environments—creating spaces that not only function efficiently, but also foster pride, professionalism, and confidence for students as they prepare for real-world careers.
